Dean Evans is a professional Clown, Mime artist, Actor and Director. He is the artistic director of Chicago Physical Theater and an ensemble member of the Neofuturists and formerly of Kapoot Clown theater. In 2009 Evans performed in the critically-acclaimed production of Eugene O’Neill’s Strange Interlude at The Goodman Theatre, and Second City's completely non-verbal show Reverie at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal. He has created and performed in many full length shows with the Neofuturists including, Picked Up (6 sitcom pilots in 6 weeks), Drag, and The Dean Evans Show. He has also written and performed in Chicago’s longest running show, Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, which is now in it’s 22nd year. He has also performed with Redmoon, Chicago Children’s Theater, Second City and many other wonderful Chicago companies. He has studied Mime and Physical Theater at The School for Mime Theater, and with masters Marcel Marceau, and Stephen Niedzialkowsky. Additionally, he has trained in Clown and Eccentric Performance with Avner Eisenberg, Julie Goell and 500 Clown.
